Best Electric Dirt Bikes in the UK: 2026 Picks
Short answer: the best electric dirt bikes UK 2026 buyers can choose from are the Sur-Ron Hyper Bee for lighter and younger riders, the Sur-Ron Light Bee X for most adults, and the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee HP X if you want serious speed. Pick by rider size and riding ground first, budget second.
We run a Sur-Ron dealership, so yes, we are biased. We also see what comes back through the workshop and hear what people wish they had bought. The 2026 model year changed enough that we rewrote this list. Every bike here is off-road only in stock form and is not type-approved for UK public roads, so sort out where you will ride before you spend anything.
How we picked the best electric dirt bikes UK 2026 has to offer
Peak power looks great in an advert and tells you little about whether you will enjoy the bike. We weigh these five things instead.
- Weight and seat height. A bike you can pick up out of a rut gets ridden more.
- Power delivery. Adjustable throttle maps beat a big headline figure, especially on loose ground.
- Battery and charge time. Real range at a realistic speed, not at walking pace.
- Parts and support. Can you get a spare in a week, and is there someone to ring.
- Running cost. No fuel, no oil, no valve clearances. Electric wins and it is not close.
If you want the long version of what changed for this model year, we broke it down in our guide to the 2026 Sur-Ron range.

Best first electric dirt bike: Sur-Ron Hyper Bee
The Hyper Bee is the one we recommend most often to nervous parents and to smaller adults. It weighs 39 kg, which is light enough that a teenager can pick it up alone. The seat adjusts between 665 mm and 705 mm across three positions, so it grows with the rider.
Peak power is 8 kW, torque is 185 Nm at the wheel and top speed is 40 mph. That is plenty. What sells it to parents is SAWC, an anti-wheelie system with three levels plus off that actively keeps the front wheel down. There is also a parental remote with one-touch emergency power-off up to 300 metres away, plus a wrist-strap kill switch. We cover how it behaves in our write-up on SAWC for young riders.
At the time of writing it starts at £2,499, with UK warehouse stock at £2,599 in Blue, Green or Yellow. Downside: at 8 kW it will feel tame to a confident adult rider inside a season.
Best all-rounder: Sur-Ron Light Bee X
The Light Bee X is still the UK bestseller and it is the safe answer for most adults. Peak power is 10 kW, torque is 295 Nm at the wheel and top speed is 50 mph. Range is up to 46 miles at a steady 25 mph, and the 72V 35Ah battery is removable, IP67 rated and charges from 20 to 80% in 2.15 hours.
Kerb weight is 59 kg with a seat height of 830 mm, so most riders over about 5 foot 6 will be comfortable. The inverted forks give 200 mm of fully adjustable travel, which is why it soaks up rough ground better than the price suggests. SWC wheelie assist has two levels and helps you find a balance point, the opposite of what the Hyper Bee does.
At the time of writing it starts at £3,199, with 2026 UK warehouse stock from £3,299 in Green up to £3,499 in White. Downside: riders who already race will outgrow the top end.

Best performance pick: Sur-Ron Ultra Bee HP X
The Ultra Bee HP X is a proper full-size electric dirt bike. Peak power is 24.5 kW in Turbo and 21.5 kW in Sport, torque is 520 Nm at the wheel and top speed is 68 mph. It hits 31 mph in 1.84 seconds. The 74V 60Ah battery gives up to 71 miles at a steady 31 mph and charges 20 to 80% in 2.5 hours on the 1000W charger.
You pay for that in size. Kerb weight is 88.5 kg and seat height is 910 mm, so short riders will struggle to flat-foot it. There are six ride modes including Crawl and Reverse, which sounds gimmicky until you are reversing it out of a gully on your own. At the time of writing it starts at £5,599, with UK warehouse stock at £5,699 in Desert Brown or Carbon Black.
What about Talaria and everything else?
Talaria build a decent bike and plenty of riders are happy on one. The Sting is usually the cheaper bike on paper. Sur-Ron still tops our best electric dirt bikes UK 2026 list on chassis quality, resale and UK support. We compare the two honestly in our 2026 Sur-Ron versus Talaria comparison, including where Talaria wins.
