Warranty
Ride with confidence — backed by the UK's most thorough Sur-Ron warranty.
Every Traction Bike is built to take a beating, but mechanical and electrical components can fail. Our warranty programme is designed to keep you riding — not stuck waiting on parts, hourly labour bills, or argument over what's covered.
Below is a transparent breakdown of what's included as standard, plus three levels of optional extended cover: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Choose at checkout when buying your bike, or contact us within 14 days of delivery to add an extension.
Standard Cover (included with every bike — no extra cost)
- Parts, Labour, Transport & Diagnostics — covered for 14 days from delivery.
- Transport & Diagnostics only — covered for a total of 30 days from delivery.
After this period expires, all repairs are charged at standard workshop rates unless an extended warranty is purchased.
Extended Warranty Tiers
Platinum is our flagship cover. It is the only tier where you walk away with no out-of-pocket cost on covered parts and labour. For the vast majority of failures we see in the workshop, Platinum means a £0 invoice on the vast majority of repair jobs. All at less than the cost of any other company in the UK.

Terms & Conditions
The following terms govern all standard and extended warranty cover provided by Traction Bikes ("we", "us", "our") to the original purchaser ("you", "the buyer"). By purchasing a bike or extended warranty from Traction Bikes you accept these terms in full. Please read carefully.
1. Eligibility & ownership. All warranties — standard and extended — are tied to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) stamped on the bike chassis at the point of sale and apply exclusively to the original purchasing customer named on the original sales order. The warranty is non-transferable. If the bike is sold, gifted, lent long-term, leased, or otherwise passes out of the legal possession of the original named buyer, all warranty cover (standard and extended) is immediately and permanently void, with no refund of any extended warranty fee.
2. Proof of purchase. To make a claim you must produce the original Traction Bikes proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice) bearing the matching VIN and the buyer's name. Claims submitted without valid proof of purchase will be rejected.
3. Scope of cover — manufacturing defects only. Warranty cover applies only to faults which, in our sole reasonable judgement, are caused by a legitimate manufacturing defect or design issue present at the point of sale. Cover does not extend to fair wear and tear, consumable items (including but not limited to tyres, brake pads, brake discs, chains, sprockets, cables, grips, bearings, bulbs, fuses, and cosmetic parts), corrosion, fading, scratches, dents, or any deterioration consistent with normal use of an off-road electric motorcycle.
4. Sole right of assessment. We reserve the sole and final right to evaluate any claim and to determine whether a fault constitutes a covered manufacturing defect, fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or any other excluded cause. Our determination is final and binding, and no further contest, appeal, chargeback, or third-party arbitration will be entertained. Submission of a claim constitutes agreement to this clause.
5. Exclusions — damage & misuse. Warranty cover is void where the bike has suffered, in our reasonable assessment, any of the following: accidental damage; intentional damage; impact damage; crash damage; competition or racing use; jumping, stunting, or any use beyond the bike's intended specification; overloading beyond stated rider/payload limits; exposure to salt water, sea spray, pressure washing, submersion, or any water/moisture ingress damage; freezing of components; fire; theft; vandalism; or any act of god. Any evidence of moisture inside sealed electrical components (battery, controller, motor, display, harness connectors) will void electrical warranty cover.
6. Authorised repairs only. All diagnostics, labour, and parts replacements performed under warranty must be carried out exclusively by Traction Bikes' own technicians at our authorised workshop. Any prior or subsequent third-party repair, inspection, modification, tuning, de-restriction, software flash, aftermarket part fitment, or unauthorised opening of sealed components (battery pack, controller, motor casing) immediately and permanently invalidates all warranty cover — standard and extended — with no refund.
7. Modifications. Fitting of any non-OEM, non-Traction-Bikes-approved part, accessory, or software — including but not limited to aftermarket controllers, batteries, motors, displays, throttles, suspension internals, BMS modifications, or speed/power unlocks — voids the warranty in its entirety.
8. Transport & location. Our workshop is located in Ramsgate, Kent. Where transport cover is included in your tier, transport is provided to and from the buyer's UK mainland delivery address.
9. Parts coverage scope. Platinum parts cover applies only to the specific components listed in the Platinum tier above. Any component not explicitly listed is excluded. Stated value caps (e.g. £800 controller, £1,200 motor, £1,000 battery, £500 labour) are maximum liability limits per claim; any cost above the cap is payable by the buyer at standard rates. Motor replacement (as opposed to rebuild) is performed at the dealer's sole discretion.
10. Battery-specific terms. Battery degradation cover under Platinum applies only where verified capacity loss exceeds 35% within the warranty period, as measured by our diagnostic equipment using our standard test protocol. Cover excludes degradation caused by: storage at extreme temperatures; storage at full or empty state of charge for extended periods; use of non-approved chargers; physical damage; moisture ingress; or failure to follow our published battery care guidelines.
11. Suspension exclusions. Suspension servicing under Platinum excludes all DVO-branded components, which are subject to DVO's own manufacturer warranty and service intervals.
12. Claim process & timelines. All claims must be raised in writing via our official warranty contact channel within 7 days of the fault occurring. We aim to acknowledge claims within 5 working days but make no guaranteed turnaround time for diagnosis or repair. Priority/same-day/next-day booking under Gold and Platinum is subject to workshop capacity and is best-efforts only.
13. Misuse fees. Where a bike is submitted for warranty repair and is found, on inspection, to have suffered misuse, accidental damage, third-party tampering, or any other excluded cause, we reserve the right to charge standard inspection, diagnostic, transport, and storage fees payable by the buyer before the bike is released back. We further reserve the right to charge additional fees commensurate with the level of misuse identified.
14. Refunds on extended warranty. Extended warranty fees are non-refundable once 14 days have passed from purchase, or once any claim has been made under the warranty (whichever is sooner), in line with UK consumer law.
15. Limitation of liability. Our total aggregate liability under any warranty (standard or extended) is strictly limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the covered component up to the stated cap, or — at our sole discretion — a refund of the extended warranty fee paid. We exclude all liability for indirect, consequential, or economic loss including but not limited to loss of use, loss of earnings, loss of enjoyment, hire costs, travel costs, or personal injury (save where such exclusion is prohibited by UK law).
16. Statutory rights. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
17. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
18. Variation. We reserve the right to amend these warranty terms at any time. The terms applicable to your warranty are those published on this page at the time of your bike or extended warranty purchase.
